It makes so much sense. Our bodies have an innate ability to take care of themselves, that’s how nature designed it. This raw courgette (zucchini) pasta and marinara sauce makes a deliciously low fat alternative to regular wheat pasta and is so easy to make. Because wheat pasta doesn’t really have any taste, it relies on the sauce to make it interesting. You can use courgette in the same way by adding any sauce you wish for flavour and texture. (more…)

Sounds like a strange combination? Well, this simple combination of spinach, strawberry and sea vegetables may surprise and delight you! Sea vegetables (marine algae) are very underused in our Western diet, and yet are becoming more and more popular due to their high nutritional content and the fact that they are now available in very handy, ready to use packs!
Which is good news, as here in Ireland with have an incredible natural resource off the west coast where the likes of kelp and dulse can be found in abundance. These sea weeds are high in chlorophyll (detoxifies and oxygenates the blood), B vitamins (including B12) and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron.
This delicious raw Chia, Chocolate & Goji porridge makes a high protein super-food breakfast that should keep you well tanked up for hours. I mean “tanked up” in the healthy, energy-fueled sense! 🙂 It contains raw cacao nibs which add a slightly bitter, crunchy texture, but you can also use raw cacao powder or regular cocoa powder (which turns the milk very chocolaty!).
