It’s been on my wishlist for the past couple of years to hold a Christmas raw food class and finally this year I’ve got around to organising it!

The idea for this class is to be slightly different to others in that we’ll be enjoying all the food prepared afterwards so we can create a bit more of a party atmosphere!

So you’re very welcome to join myself and Fergus for A Rawsome Christmas! raw food class where we’ll be showing you how to make some deliciously guilt-free, whole-food, vegan treats that you can enjoy over the festive season with friends and family.  And, of course, none of the recipes contain any eggs, wheat, dairy, gluten or refined sugars.

The class will be around 2 hours with time to relax, chat and enjoy the food afterwards!

Recipes to include a selection of Canapes, Nutloaf with Cashew Gravy & Cranberry Relish, Mulberry Flourentines, Mince Pies, Chocolate Pecan Pie, and non-alcoholic drinks like hot Spiced Apple & Cinnamon and Eggnog.  All are simple to prepare and no dehydrator is required.

You will also receive a gift bag of my home-made Raw Chocolate Truffles when you leave!

This week I couldn’t resist giving you an enticing nibble of what’s to come on my next 4 week “Fresh Start on Raw” course!  I taught this recipe on my very first course earlier this year and it was a real hit, so I’ve decided to bring it back for the next course starting 12th November.  And there’s still time to sign up!

I think the appeal of cupcakes has been largely to do with their trendy rise to fame over the past few years, rather than what they actually are, which is really just a simple fairy cake with elaborate sugary icing on top.  However, they have become a fast growing industry in their own right and there are some pretty big companies out there producing some stunning creations.  But all that fluffy sponge aside, if I had to choose, I’d go for one that is oozing with high energy superfood anyday over all that sparkly frosting!   (more…)
