  3. Hi Andrea,
I was looking for your ‘hot’ chocolate recipe which I received by email a couple of weeks ago but I can’t find it on the website.

    Thanks,
    Natalie

Hi Natalie, i think that may have been one i shared on the Facebook page? It was for Ginger Spiced Hot Chocolate and here’s the recipe. I will also post it on the Beverages Page. In a saucepan warm a mug full of almond or coconut milk. Stir in 1 or 2 heaped tsp Raw Cacao, 1/4 tsp each of vanilla, cinnamon & ground Ginger, 2 tsp Maple syrup smile emoticon

  5. Hello, thank you so much for the gift of this website.

You mention a lot about ‘pure water’ and I assume this is a purposeful distinction (i.e., not tap water), how do you get pure water? Is it a mineral water like Ballygowan, Evian or is it something else?

    Thanks,

    p

Hi Peter, thanks for your question and great comments about our website! Yes the quality of our water is incredibly important. Especially here in Ireland, and a a few other parts of the world, where flouride and other contaminants are in to our tap water. The options we’d suggest are a good reverse osmosis filter tap or a distiller. Distilling water does remove the natural minerals but you can buy minerals to add back in or add a pinch of mineralised salt like himalayan pink or celtic sea salt. Water in plastic bottles is probably better than tap water, but it does have chemicals and estrogen that leach out from the plastic so not ideal. We will write up a blog about water soon! Hope that helps 🙂

  6. I have underactive thyroid and my blood tests just revealed my TSH levels as being very high despite taking medication. My cholesterol ( genetically 0prone) was the highest reporting to date at 8.2. I consider my diet relatively healthy, I eat porridge or eggless for breakfast with cinnamon and honey sprinkled on oats. I make homemade soup with a large variety if veg butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, leeks, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, celery, parsley, thyme, turmeric and other spices and seasonings. I usually make a different type of soup five times a week. Dinner is mostly chicken or fish. Red meat twice a week and all dairy is non fat. Despite the efforts I go to my downfalls are bread ( usually brown) and I have a sweet tooth so I will buy cereal bars or weight watcher sweet produce to satisfy that sweet tooth. I excercise 5 times a week too but I am shocked with these results. I feel I am a stone overweight and can’t shift it ever. I lose two lbs and gain it back in a day. Have all the symptoms if chronic thyroid, no energy, dry hair and skin, poor memory, etc. need your help. I think your site looks wonderful and could be the answer I am looking for. Looking forward to hearing from you.

  7. Hi,
I just came across and would be really interested in doing the 3 day detox that you ran last week. Is there any way you could send it on to me? I have signed up for your mailing list. No problem if you can’t!
I can’t wait to try the juice recipes 🙂

Hi Niall, I use a Vitamix which is one of the best but quite pricey. Other good ones are Blendtec, Omega and Bio Chef. You’ll only get these online so compare prices as you shop around. Andrea 🙂
